Reusing Boxes
If you do not need your cardboard boxes and have a surplus you can post on the ‘New Alresford Buy & Sell’ or ‘Too Good to Tip’ Facebook pages.
Kerbside Collection
You can recycle cardboard via the collection service using Winchester City Council’s recycling bin provided.
Clean dry cardboard is accepted. Remove all tape.
Please do not place cardboard which is contaminated with food waste in the recycling bin for example greasy pizza takeaway boxes.
Composting
Generally recycling cardboard is better for the environment than composting.
Cardboard which cannot be recycled, for example a greasy pizza box, can be composted rather than placed in the refuse.
