In collaboration with Perins School, New Leaf Alresford are hosting a screening of the film ‘Six Inches of Soil’, as part of Winchester Green Week activities – to celebrate and promote sustainable living.
The film tells the inspiring story of British farmers standing up against the industrial food system and transforming the way they produce food – to heal the soil, benefit our health and provide for local communities.
It will be screened using new state of the art projection equipment in the Perins Main Hall followed by a discussion and Q&A session with a panel of local experts. The event will run from 19.00 – 21.30 on Monday the 23rd of September (doors at 18.30, film starts 19.00).
The panel will include:
- Tom, Frensham Market Farm (chemical free small scale vegetable growing)
- Jamie Butler, Whitewool Farm (mixed dairy / arable using permaculture / regenerative principles)
- Peter Moss, Downforce Technologies (pioneering science-led, data-driven land management solutions)
- Samuel Philippot, Candover Brook Vineyard (winemaker using sustainable / regenerative practices)
Tickets are just £5 each. This covers the cost of screening the film, with anything remaining going towards future events organised by New Leaf Alresford.
