As it’s National Walking Month, we are sharing this map of Alresford and running a competition to identify missing paths. So if you can, get out and about, explore the town on foot and see if you can spot one…
There are over 20 ‘snickets’ and ‘cut-throughs’ that let you cross town on foot much more quickly than following the road network.
Your answers will help us to update the town map, hopefully enabling and encouraging more active travel in our town.
The winner will be the individual who provides the most missing cut throughs as verified by the trustees.

Find a clearer PDF of the map here and either fill in the Google form here or email your entry to New Leaf Alresford, with ‘competition’ in the subject line. Describe the missing paths, naming the the two roads each path connects between.
For example:
South Road and Ashburton Road
Appledown Close and Orchard Way
(these are already on the map by the way!)

The Rules
- Anyone can enter via the Google form or by emailing their answer to enquiries@newleafalresford.org.
- All entries must be received by 23.59 on 31/05/26.
- The winner will be the individual who provides the most missing cut throughs as verified by the trustees.
- In the event of a draw, each of the winning entrants will be assigned a number and a randomiser programme will be used to select the winner.
- The winner will be informed via email and New Leaf Alresford will publish the winners name on their website.
