Doorstep Collection
You can recycle garden waste through the kerbside collection service using Winchester City Council’s brown bins.
A standard 240l bin costs £59 per year and a 140l bin is £39 per year. You can sign up at New Garden Waste Collection Service – Winchester City Council Remember you can share a bin with your neighbour if you want to reduce the cost.
The collection service accepts garden waste up to 15kg including grass and hedge cuttings, weeds, leaves and small branches up to 10mm in diameter.
Please do not place food scraps, coal ash, rubble, soil or concrete or animal waste in the garden waste collection.
